Anil presently runs a newly formed Client Strategy function for the 170-person Sales Organisation of the Global Markets division of Nomura Securities across Asia ex Japan. He has previously worked at Deutsche Bank, Allianz Asia Pacific, Mercer and Arthur Andersen in Business Management, HR advisory and management consulting roles in Singapore, SE Asia and across the Indian sub-continent. 

An organisational effectiveness change agent at heart and an OD specialist by training, Anil has been formally involved in diversity and inclusion for the last 12 years - he was the inaugural Head of Diversity and Organisational Effectiveness for Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific where he helped set-up that bank’s first Women’s and LGBT networks. He still counts this as being his amongst his greatest achievements in over 20 years of working. Ever since he moved to a business role in late 2010, he has tried to be a positive agent of change in diversity and inclusion - inclusive language, attending internal events, and enabling the provision of budget and resources. He believes that it is important for leaders to approach D&I with humility, authenticity and vulnerability. He thinks that it is important to not only share what the organization excels at, but also the sometimes harsh realities. By being transparent, organizations become more inclusive by welcoming input from all. Identifying areas for improvement can only come if we approach the future with humility.
