Human Capital Leadership Institute
Catherine has worked with the Human Capital Leadership Institute since its inception in 2010 initially as Director, Executive Development and Strategic Alliances and currently as an advisor for the Institute’s flagship initiatives. Throughout her career Catherine has been involved in initiatives to better understand the relationship between leadership, organisation practices and employee commitment and performance. She led the development and launch of the Best Employers study in Australasia and Asia and has been closely involved in shaping the research agenda for the Human Capital Leadership Institute since its inception. Her current research with the Institute explores how organisations in Asia are responding to the demands of the sustainability agenda, the role of HR in this transformation and the implications for human capital strategy.
Previously Catherine held Practice Leader and General Management roles in Australia (Melbourne and Sydney) and Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore) with global HR consulting firm Aon Hewitt. Prior to that Catherine worked in corporate Human Resources Development roles in Australasia and Europe, and her last corporate role was with American Express, where she led the Human Resources Development function for the European Operations business.
Catherine is a regular speaker in the areas of leadership effectiveness and employee engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Victoria University of Wellington (NZ) and a Master of Arts (HR Strategies) London Guildhall University (UK)
